Abstract

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is characterized by a prominent desmoplastic stroma in the tumor microenvironment. This histologic feature arises from deposition of extracellular matrix that increases tissue stiffness and limits vascularity (1,2).
